FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, a song that would change the course of Irish music history debuted at number one and remained there for ten weeks.

Since then, it has served as the soundtrack to many a Debs ball, wedding and Leaving Cert results night.

We are, of course, talking about the often imitated, but never duplicated Maniac 2000.
